There is a feature in Microsoft Office called the Change Picture feature.  The Change Picture feature is a feature that removes and replaces the picture while maintaining the size and position of the image. The Change Picture feature is available in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

To change a Picture in PowerPoint without losing the size and position, follow these steps: Launch PowerPoint.

Insert a picture into the slide. Click on the picture, a Picture Format tab will appear on the menu bar. On the Picture Format tab, in the Adjust group, click the Change Picture button. You can select a picture from a File, Stock images, Online Sources, and Icons in the drop-down menu. An Insert picture dialog box will appear;  choose a picture file and then click Insert.

The new picture will appear on the slide. Notice how the length of both the picture is the same, and it is in the same position.
