Surface Trackpad Settings app
Microsoft Surface keyboards have a Trackpad that you can use as a mouse. With the help of this app, you will be able to choose how the trackpad works on Touch Cover and Type Cover. To ensure that the app does detect the keyboard, you have to make sure you have the latest Windows Updates installed. If, for some reason, the app does not detect the keyboard, then from the Start screen, type Devices > Settings > Devices and Printers. Then tap Refresh three times (circular arrow next to the Search box). Try using the app again. The Trackpad Settings app will allow you to toggle four settings:
Trackpad On/OffTap gestures On/OffScrolling On/OffFlip scrolling direction On/Off.
For some strange reasons, the app is available only in the US and select markets. Microsoft is probably making it available only in those markets where the Surface is available officially. You can get the Trackpad Settings App for Surface here.
